Sr. Oracle DBA
Working as part of our New York based systems team you will be challenged by the design, build and support of an evolving Oracle architecture that must be deployed globally. The variety of challenging projects and technologies will maintain and advance your skills significantly.
As a Senior DBA with 6+ years of the full range of Oracle technologies you will have expertise in most of the following types of projects:
- Oracle Architecture Design including capacity planning, storage, clusters, servers with the ability to offer solutions for high availability, disaster recovery and scalability.
- Oracle database architecture installation, configuration, tuning, review, and troubleshooting on versions 9i, 10g, and 11g.
- Hands on Oracle 10g RAC and Data Guard on Linux.
- Database Backup and Recovery solutions including RMAN, Backup Scripts and SAN based backups.
- Oracle Monitoring with OMS and Grid Control.
- Strong knowledge of all primary Oracle platforms including Unix, Linux and Windows
- Strong Programming skills including at a minimum: Unix Shell Scripting, PL/SQL
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to present findings and recommendations.
Added Plus Skills
- Awareness of networks and server and storage hardware configurations and design
- Track Record in dealing with a variety of clients and environments is a plus.
- Strong Perl scripting skills
